The Process of Joining Our Coaching Community
Apply
Fill out your application below. We ask about your coaching credentials, experience, niche, and why you’re interested in Coach Link Up. Takes about 5 minutes.
We Verify
We check that you meet our vetting standards: 60+ hours of coaching education, 100+ hours of coaching experience, 10+ hours of mentorship, and alignment with the ICF or NBHWC Code of Conduct. This isn’t gatekeeping—it’s quality control.
Confirm
“If you’re a fit, we email you within 5-7 business days( 3-5 for ICF or NBHWC accredited) with next steps. If there’s a gap (e.g., you’re building hours), we’ll let you know what’s needed and when to reapply.
Onboard
We send you an onboarding guide to help you and invite you to schedule a welcome call (optional) to explain how contributions work, answer questions, and get you access to the member portal.
Publish
Your first contribution can happen whenever you’re ready. We’ll send you prompts, templates, and guidelines to make it easy.
Before You Apply: Know What You’re Joining when you Join our Coaching Community
Coach Link Up is a community. Belonging requires contribution. Here’s what that means:
You’ll commit to 2 meaningful contributions per year.
A contribution can be a blog post (600-900 words), a panel participation (live or recorded), a Q&A response, or sharing a coaching framework. We provide templates and prompts. Max contribution: 12 videos/year, 12 blogs/year. It’s structured, finite, and doable.
You’ll follow our editorial standards.
We review contributions for clarity, ethics, and alignment with our community values. This isn’t censorship—it’s curation. Your ideas won’t be censored, but they will be held to a standard.
You’ll be part of a real community—not just a database.
You’ll see other coaches’ ideas. You’ll have optional panels and accountability opportunities. You’ll have access to a referral network. But it’s not a Slack—it’s asynchronous and respectful of your time.

Frequently Asked Questions
01. What if I don’t meet all the vetting criteria?
We have all been there. We don’t have enough real-world coaching hours, or we have not completed our course yet, and that is great. We can all remember the excitement we felt at the time. Join our mailing list so that you can learn about opportunities to surround yourself with coaches who can inspire you. We offer at least 1 workshop each month for guests and you are welcome to join us. Let us be a part of your journey with you. You don’t have to do it alone.
02. How much time does a contribution actually take?
It really depends on the content you are creating (either a blog or a video) and how prepared you are. As you create more, it takes less time because you have things in place. We hold regular “Do it Together” events where you and others work on a video together as a challenge. This helps you get over the hump. Oh, and when you create a video, we are able to create a blog for you easily so you end up with two pieces of assets.
03. If I join a coaching community like Coach Link Up, am I guaranteed clients?
Some platforms tell you you will get clients, but we believe in transparency and being realistic. We don’t guarantee clients, and we say that if you are just looking for lead generation, we are not the place for you. What we do promise is supporting you to build business assets and not just marketing content. If you create content, we WILL push your assets so that people can learn about what you offer to the world.
04. What if I am not ready yet to join a coaching community?
I get it. You are not sure we are your people. You are probably like most of us in the community and get sales pitches all the time. Join our newsletter and learn more about us, and better yet, join one of our free monthly events that is open to guests. Click here to join our mailing list.
05. Does being certified mean I have to have my ICF or NBHWC accreditation?
This is a great question because being certified can mean different things. Let us tell you how we define it. It means that you have completed a recognized coaching program where you have completed at least 60 hours of coaching coursework and you have passed an exam where you demonstrated your skills. If you are not ICF recognized ACC, PCC or MCC nor you have taken the. NBHWC exam, we will just do a deeper dive into your program to ensure that we define coaching the same way.
